It's still snowing.

Well, if you live in Pittsburgh, then I am sure you are aware of the lovely accumulation of snow we have received. The "snowpocalypse" or blizzard of 2010 is still happening I guess. It's snowing right now. It's a pain in the ass to go anywhere if you are not walking and even walking is like an obstacle course. So we have pretty much led a simple life these last 2 weeks. A lot of meals made at home and movies and reading and 6 packs from the coop because the liquor stores kept closing early. It's honestly been very nice. I think we are ready to be able to go places again, though. We went to Taste of India for Vday and parking was not a good time. I thought we might not make it out of our parking spot. Snow, you are just annoying at this point. Not cute anymore, for real. Go home.
The apartment is almost finished up, just need a new couch and get my desk here. Both of these will inevitably be postponed forever by the lingering and massive amounts of snow. I love the redecoration though, it looks like a totally different place.
Picture time!

This was the scene opening the front door last Saturday.

Jason braving the stairs that we could not see.

The view down the street.

This is me right now. Off work today and in all my unbrushed hair glory.

This is the Beauty and the Beast coffee mug I am currently drinking coffee out of.

Got bored of blogging. Bye!

Second update for TEN.

Today is Monday, MLK day. I did not have to work. I did not have to do anything. It's been a glorious day. I did not get a lot of sleep starting on Thursday and up till today I have no been able to catch up. I originally woke up really early but was able to go back to sleep.
Friday Jason and I met up with Andy and Sarah at Wilkie's in Dormont. It was fun, I like hanging with them.
Saturday I went back to Robinson, got my hair cut, bonded with my mom and sister, watched Paranormal Activity with my brother followed by Road House.
Sunday was Jul's birthday so fam came over and Jason came over and then after that celebration we headed to the bicycle cafe in the south side for Claire's birthday which was also fun.
Tonight I believe we are going to the BBT which is exciting because I haven't been there in forever.

Here's my haircut, I only have this one picture so far and I look really serious as I was trying to concentrate on getting a good angle of the haircut. But, there will be more to follow I'm sure.

I love it!

First blog of 2010!

First I would like to recap the end of 2009 which I enjoyed much more than the beginning or middle of the year.
Christmas was really nice, I enjoyed all the time I spent with my family and Jason's family. I received a lot of very nice gifts, such as a SNUGGIE. Also my brother got me a new digital camera! So I will now post 17 million photographs when I blog. Beginning.....NOW.

Mums & me. Did I mention the snuggie is leopard print? IT IS!!!

Juls got a matching one. We are amazing. More amazing in Snuggies.

John came home for the holidays so Jason and I got to spend some time with him.

It also involved us taking some really normal looking pictures.

After Christmas, Jason's birthday occurred on the 28th. Originally we were supposed to go to Robinson for dinner with his parents but it snowed a good bit and roads were not that fantastic so we stayed in Squirrel Hill and had a nice dinner at Silk Elephant and then grabbed some wine and just hung out. It was a very nice evening. I would probably be jealous of our awesome if I wasn't one of the awesome. Don't worry, you'll get there someday.

Anyway, we did end up being able to go to dinner with Jason's fam at a later date. We went to Cafe Sam in Bloomfield which is pretty neat. It's like walking into someone's house, but it's not a house because it's a restaurant. It was fun.

This guy came.

Jason picked up this hot chick.
We sang happy birthday & Jason got birthday tiramisu.

For New Years Eve we went to Claire & Josh's house for a party and it was excellent. I was glad to bring in the new year with everyone there. I also brought my snuggie. (picture not included)

So, 2009 was not the best of years but it was not the worst of years either. It tried my patience a lot but I feel like getting through everything actually made it a pretty important year because learning that you can get through crappy months, moods, sickness etc. & knowing you have a lot of amazing people surrounding you makes it worth it in the end.

I am looking forward to everything 2010 has to bring. I feel like it's going to be a year of change. First change, that long hair will be GONE after the 16th, folks. This may seem like a miniature change but you can shut your dirty mouth, I have had long hair forever and I am finally going to part with it.

Also, I am staying at my apartment and it's going to undergo some major changes. Switching my bedroom, new furniture arrangements, rugs, plants large enough for the cats to not knock over. I'm very excited. I hope you are excited about the new year as well. Everyone likes a chance to start over.
